Welcome to our latest blog post where we dive into some exciting updates and events that are shaping the maritime and design industries. This week, we explore the luxurious world of Marmi Futerno, celebrate the incredible achievement of building the Salmon Eye in Norway, and gear up for an exhilarating event at the SMM Hamburg shipbuilding exhibition. Let’s get started!
Marmi Futerno: The Masters of Modern Stone Mansions
Marmi Futerno, founded in 2013, is a powerhouse of stone craftsmanship in Estonia and Scandinavia. Their factory in Tallinn is a hub of innovation, where artisans use state-of-the-art CNC machinery and handcraft techniques to create stunning residences, luxury yacht interiors, and custom stone furniture. Committed to sustainability, they recycle all stone waste and feature energy-efficient systems in their new factory.
They’ve just launched a collection of design tables in 2024, using recycled materials. Each piece is unique, combining sustainability with high-end design. Check out their designs in the and learn more about their work here.
Estonian Achievement: Building “Iris” in Norway
Estonian builders have constructed one of Norway’s iconic landmarks, “Iris,” right in Estonia before shipping it to Norway. Nestled within the Salmon Eye, a floating experience center dedicated to sustainable marine life, Iris offers an 18-course meal with breathtaking fjord views. The journey there, via electric boat, is as thrilling as the destination. Learn more about this project here and here .
